Our Charity Program

We believe in giving back to the community we live and work in! Therefore, in 2001, we started our Charity Program - both to support local charities with donations, and to help our customers find good new homes for belongings they do not want to move to their new home. To find out more about how we help the various charitable organizations, we support, please visit our CHARITY NEWS PAGE!

Moving is the perfect time to sort through your personal belongings and dispose of everything you no longer need or have no use for – be it clothing, shoes, toys, bedding, kitchenware, appliances, furniture, or leftover pet supplies. If you are moving with TEAM Allied Russia, we will pick up your donations from your home in Moscow at the time of your move free of charge * (see notes below). Please consider donating your unneeded possessions to our charity program!

If you have items to donate, simply put them aside or mark them accordingly. On moving day, point out these items to your packing crew. They will pack your donations and will draw up a separate charity inventory with your name on it. Your donations will then be brought to our warehouse in Moscow, where they will be temporarily stored until they are sorted by representatives from the charities we support. Once sorted, we will re-deliver your donations to one or more of these organizations. All this is done free of charge, with the exception of the removal of heavy items such as pianos, safes, and pool tables – if you have such items to donate and they are in good working order, we will inform you of the associated charges for removing them from our home.

We only have one important request: If you would like to donate furniture, larger appliances, or a larger amount of smaller items, you must inform us of this well in advance so that we can plan accordingly. We can only pick up your donations at the time of your move, and if we are not aware of the volume of items you intend to donate, they may end up not fitting into our truck or our packers may not have enough time to pack and remove them from your home.

TEAM Allied Russia currently supports the following charitable organizations with donations received through our charity program:

Diema's Dream http://www.ddfund.ru (Rus & Eng)
Dog & Cat Shelters http://www.moscowanimals.org (Eng)
International Women's Club (IWC) Charities Group http://www.iwcmoscow.ru (Eng)
Kitezh & Orion Children's Communities http://www.kitezh.org (Rus & Eng)
Nastenka Foundation (Pediatric Cancer Hospital) & AWO Charities http://www.nastenka.ru (Rus & Eng)

* IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1. Donations can only be picked up on the date(s) of your move and only if your move originates in Moscow. You must inform us of your intention to donate items and must provide us with a list of these items well in advance of your move to allow us to plan accordingly. Failure to do so may result in there not being enough space in the truck or us not having enough time to pack and remove your donations from your home.
  2. All donations must be clean (clothes, toys, etc.) and in good working order (appliances, furniture, musical instruments). We will not pick up broken items or items that require repairs.
  3. We will not pick up fridges/freezers that have not been defrosted and cleaned.
  4. We do not accept large beds (double, king, queen), pianos or other musical instrucments, video tapes, food (including spices), beverages, medications, cleaning liquids and plants!
  5. We cannot accept financial donations on behalf of any charitable organization, but we will accept your leftover Russian coins (rubles and kopeks – no foreign coins please) for Moscow Animals.
  6. We do accept items for dogs and cats (no other animals please!) such as kennels, cages, beds, bowls, collars, leashes and toys (no pet food please; if you want to donate pet food, please contact Moscow Animals directly at info@moscowanimals.org).
  7. Charges will apply for the pick up of pianos (must be in working condition) and other heavy items (e.g., safes, pool tables). If you have such items to donate, please let us know in advance so that we can inform you of the additional cost.
  8. We cannot provide any receipts for tax purposes.

On behalf of the charitable organizations we support we would like to thank all of the individuals, embassies and organizations in Moscow that have supported our charity program over the years and have made it a big success over the past years!
